Berkshire Pride Festival – Volunteers Needed!

This year’s Berkshire Pride Festival is set for Saturday, June 3. Please contact Craig Reynolds (cmreyn@gmail.com or 413.822.0248) if you’d like to volunteer.

We need volunteers in the following capacities:

Set Up – 10 AM at the First Street Common
We need to get a table, canopy, chairs, and accessories from St. Stephen’s to the public parking lot on First Street across the street to our designated spot on the Common (#31 – see map below). Then we need to set everything up.

Staffing our Table/Booth – 11 AM to 4 PM
The festival begins at 11 AM and runs until 4 PM. Volunteer for an hour or a larger block of time. Based on last year’s festival, we anticipate needing more volunteers from 11 AM to 1 PM, but we’ll need help throughout the day. We’ll have a few chairs, but bring sunscreen and your own chair for maximum comfort.

During the festival we’ll be welcoming people to our table/booth and offering:

  • Photo booth frame: People can hold up our pride-themed photo frame and we’ll snap their picture with their phone. (See below for an example.)
  • Temporary Rainbow Tattoos: We’ll be handing out free temporary rainbow tattoos as we engage with and welcome festival-goers.

Parade!
The parade begins at 11 AM on North Street and winds down Eagle Street into the Common. St. Stephen’s is #36 in the lineup of 41 participants. Parade marchers should gather on North Street around 10:30 AM.

Tear Down
See “Set Up” above, and reverse it. 🙂 The festival is scheduled to run until 4 PM, but last year exhibitors started to disassemble their tables/booths early.
