The lighting project in the church sanctuary and choir area is complete. New track lighting replaced the old theater floods and spots (which were in bad shape) shining on the wall with the cross, the pulpit, the lectern, and the altar. The lighting is brighter in the sanctuary and more even on the wall with the cross (north). There are no more “hot spots” on that wall. The new fixtures along the east and west walls are brighter and softer than the ones they replaced. See more photos here.
In addition, the new lighting requires 10x less power than the old fixtures. The resulting utility savings should be substantial.
Many thanks to the entire “lighting team” for the stellar results of this project! A special thanks to Bill Carter for his in-depth research and thorough oversight of the effort.
