Josie Ellis – Co-Warden

We came to St. Stephen’s after the birth of our child so that she would be baptized in the Episcopal church. After that, we were hooked!  Scott and I have been married for 28 years and are raising two wonderful daughters; Mackenzie (23) and Meagan (21).  Mackenzie graduated from Stonehill College last year with a business degree and Meagan will graduate from Merrimack College next year with a psychology degree.  Having spent most of my career as a human resources professional, over the last three years, Scott and I have embarked on a new path. We started our own business, Scott Ellis Reads. Scott narrates audiobooks and teaches others to do the same – we currently have 6 other narrators working with us.  I handle the production side of the audiobooks; proofing, editing, and mastering with a team of 5 others, as well as my own commercial voice-over work.   We love to camp, fish, kayak, travel, manage our 4 cats, and our Airbnb!

As relationships ebb and flow, as life has its ups and downs, I am forever grateful to have the constant presence and strength of God in my life.  I see His touch in all aspects of my life and prayerfully work hard to live a life resembling St. Stephen’s mission – to be the heart and hands of Christ.  I have been involved in many aspects of life, ministry, and worship at St. Stephen’s. My husband and I taught the high school youth group for several years – hard to believe it was over 20 years ago now.   I was a volunteer, then team leader for St. Stephen’s Table. I have served as a Vestry member, Assistant Treasurer, and Treasurer as well as a member of two Search Committees. I currently serve on the Finance team, Altar Guild, Visioning Team, as a Lector and LEM, and Co-Warden.
