A Celebration of World Labyrinth Day

Celebrating a connection between labyrinth walkers around the globe, you are invited to participate in World Labyrinth Day, a moving meditation for world peace, and to experience the meditative wonder of the labyrinth. All around the globe, people will be walking a labyrinth between 11 am and 1 pm in their local time zone, creating a wave of meditation around the world.  It is an opportunity to quiet our minds, listen to our breath, and open our hearts as we pray for peace on a global scale and celebrate connection.

Walking the labyrinth is a spiritual experience in many traditions as it is a path of prayer, a walking meditation, and supports mindfulness practices.  Upon entering the labyrinth, you may find your mind quieting as you move to the center.  There, you find a place for meditation and prayer, staying as long as you like.  As you return on the path, a connection to source and an ability to reflect more easily may be felt.

St. Stephen’s is home to a Chartres-style labyrinth located in the auditorium on the second floor. If you have questions or are interested in a labyrinth practice, ask Anne Williams.
